Emma Louise Jeffries, 86, of Ashland, Ohio passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Kingston of Ashland. She was born in Mansfield, Ohio on February 20, 1936 to the late Leo and Helen (Parrett) Church.
Emma resided in Ashland most of her life. She had previously owned and operated her own business, Jeffries Fashion Corner, in downtown Ashland. She also worked as a nail technician for many years. Though her biggest passion and hobby was doing nails, Emma also enjoyed knitting, reading and cooking. She loved spending time with family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She attended Bethel Baptist in Savannah, Ohio.
Emma is survived by her children, Rebekah (Angel) Rodriguez of Elyria, Randy (Nancy) Jeffries of Euclid and Thomas L. Jeffries of Strongsville; son-in-law, Lance Appleby of Ashland; seven grandchildren, Nathan (Dinah) Rodriguez of Georgia, Andrew (Rachel) Rodriguez of Indiana, Samuel (Stacey) Rodriguez of Minnesota, David (Anna) Jeffries of Gahanna, Drew Jeffries of Ohio and Collin Jeffries and Madison Jeffries both of Michigan; 11 great-grandchildren; and many other cherished family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, William L. Jeffries and daughter, Linda Appleby.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 308 Claremont Ave., Ashland, Ohio 44805. A funeral service will follow beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor John Bouquet officiating. She will be laid to rest in Ashland Cemetery.
