Kurt Hirsch died on May 8, 2018, his 83rd birthday, at his home in Lakewood, CO, from lung cancer. The illness was brief and he now joins both his wife Ruth, who died October 10, 2017, and his son Detlef, who passed on February 2, 2018. May they all find peace, together again.
Born on May 8, 1935 to Fritz and Gertrud Hirsch (née Kotlow) in Berlin, Germany, Kurt is survived by daughter, Jacqueline Hirsch and her husband, Charles Montgomery (Lakewood); sister, Eva Schmidt (Fort Worth, TX); nieces, Claudia Knight (Dallas), and Ikaria Taylor (Fort Worth); and nephew, Wolfgang Schmidt, Jr. (Miami, FL).
