Robert "Lester" Ratliff

Lester was born on February 1,1937 in Jefferson County, IL to Silas Russell and

Gladys Lorene (Neal) Ratliff. He departed this life on October 15, 2022 in South St

Louis County M0. He was united in marriage to Doris Jean Huffstutler on June 25,

1955.

Lester was a devoted husband and family man. To this union of 67 years were

added five children, who along with his wife sunvive him. Daughter Susan Diane

(husband John) Heilmann of Lake St Louis, M0., son Steve (wife Michelle) Ratliff of

Dittmer, MO. daughter Karen (husband Jim) Dwyer of Phoenix, AZ. daughter Tracey

(husband David) Webb of Collinsville, IL. daughter Dawn (husband Carl) Campbell of

Mt Dora, FL.

He had 13 grandchildren who survive him; Diane and Megan, Brian and

Kelley, Rob, Jon Paul, and Katie, Cassie, Courtney, and Caleb, Joe, Josh, and Jason.

He is also survived by 23 great grandchildren. two sisters in law who survived him;

Phyllis and Sharon, many beloved nephews and nieces. He was proceeded in death by

three brothers; Silas Neal, Melvin and Joe Ratliff.

Lester took great and utmost joy from being a follower of Jesus ! He was proud to be

a member of First Baptist Church, Arnold, MO. Lester was employed for 35 years

(1963-1999) by Pevely Dairy, St. Louis, MO.

He will be remembered at a service in his honor on Thursday October 20, 2022, 10:30 am at the Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd. Arnold, MO.with visitation from 9:30 am until time of service.

Interment will follow with a graveside service at IOOF Cemetery, Dahlgren, IL at 2:00 pm.
