Lloyd C. Prindiville, Jr., 92, of Arnold, MO - Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church †, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2023 under the affectionate care of the Cedarhurst of Arnold staff. He was the loving son of the late Lloyd C Prindiville, Sr and the late Helen Prindiville (nee Hoene) of Arnold.
He is survived by his four children: Karen (Gary) Cronin of Festus, Donna (Mike) Griffin of St. Peters, Mike (Paula) Prindiville of Arnold and Laura (Dave) Parson of Arnold; his brother Gary (Linda) Prindiville of Hermann, MO & sister-in-law, Barb Prindiville, sister-in-law Paula (late Harry) Beck and step-children Ken and Tim Richard. Loving grandfather of Dan (Brandy) Cronin, Tracy (Daren) LaRose, Brian (Tierney) Cronin, Kyle Prindiville, Grant (Sam) Prindiville, Mark Parson and Nick Parson; Great-Grandfather of Amanda, Emily (CC), Jack, Evelyn & Tucker.
He was preceded in death by his 2nd wife Jean Prindiville (nee Apel) and his 1st wife the late Mary Werkmeister (nee Becker), brothers James & Cookie Prindiville, Tom Prindiville and Richard Prindiville. And sister/brother-in-law Mary & Gene Midden.
Lloyd was a dear brother-in-law, father-in-law, uncle, cousin, neighbor and friend to many.
Lloyd proudly served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp. during the Korean War. He was a volunteer in his early years with the Rock Community Fire Protection District & played semi-professional baseball for the Arnold Boosters team.
He graduated from Ranken Technical College with his Journeyman license through which he began his career as a plumber, then transitioning into a corporate career with the Certain-Teed Pipe Corporation where he retired in 1986 as a National Field Service Manager. His corporate career travels took him throughout the US and to international locations such as Egypt, France, Switzerland, Jamaica & Canada.
He greatly enjoyed trying new recipes, baking bread, making Andouille sausage with his friends and was very well-known for his green thumb in gardening, especially for growing tomatoes and exquisite roses. He was an active supporter of the Shrine of St. Joseph in downtown St. Louis and was an avid fan of St Louis sports teams, especially the Cardinals and the Blues. He was a talented pool player and even had the opportunity to play pool with the legendary Minnesota Fats!
Visitation will be from 3pm - 8pm on Wednesday, June 28th at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd. Arnold, MO. Services will be held at 10am on Thursday, June 29th at Heiligtag, celebrated by Deacon Gene Zimmermann, with interment immediately following at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
