My heart is so full. My mind is so full of memories.Aunt Kathy was smart, talented,and always classy. She was a lady- no matter what the situation. She was strong and resilient. - But those who knew her- knew all of this. She never stopped. Period. She was always the person you could count on. Always. To say she was involved was a huge understatement.  If you needed anything- Aunt Kathy was in the midst of making it happen- from parenting( even if she wasn't your parent )to mentoring, to teaching your babies. She went through the civilian police academy, took classes with her local fire station, helped with her neighborhood watch, served as Scout Den Mother....the list goes on and on.But she was MY AUNT KATHY. She was there to reel me in as an overzealous child and there to praise me for accomplishments. She was my Sunday phone call. I would start out driving or maybe sitting in the living room, or even washing dishes- but before long I was sitting in an empty room listening to her and enjoying our conversation focused entirely on our phone call. She took care of so many- all of us-even up to the end. I loved her and I know she loved me. She made me a priority and I always felt it. It's true what they say. All super heroes don't wear capes. But man when she did- SHE ROCKED IT. I love you Aunt Kathy. Fly high my angel!
