Darline Ann Spink

Darline Ann Spink, age 94, of Arnold, Missouri passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023. She was born October 26, 1928 to Estel and Veronica (nee Havlicek) Brooks who preceded her in death along with her beloved husband, Stephen Spink. Darline was predeceased by her daughter, Stephanie Spink, a grandson, Cameron Spink and two sisters; Catherine Borrok and Marilyn Darian.

Darline is survived by her children; Roberta (Darryl) Kuenzle, Sandra (Elmer) Hearst, Michael (Melissa) Spink, Scott (Carolyn) Spink and Kerri (Kenneth) Jones. She was a loving grandmother to Sara (Bill) Sucharski, Laura (Kevin) Lee, William (Amelia) Wilmering, Christopher (Mallorie) Wilmering, April (Kevin) Hawk, Patrick Hearst, Sandy (Dennis) Kobermann, Laci (Jorge) Pedraza, James (Jennifer) Spink, Jonathon Spink, Collin Spink, 30 great grandchildren and beloved aunt.

Darline was a selfless person and best known as a servant leader to her community and friends. She was a Girl Scout & volunteer for over fifty-one years. A longtime member of the Historical Society of Kimmswick, Missouri, having served as President for many years. The Spinks loved to host gatherings, especially huge parties at their family farm, wonderful memories that family & friends will never forget. Darline was a self-taught pianist, and loved to sing. In her spare time, she coached her daughter’s softball and volleyball teams. She and Stephen owned M & S Manufacturing, and enjoyed traveling for business and leisure. Darline’s favorite place to travel was Colorado, she loved the view of the mountains. Some of her hobbies included sewing, gardening, cooking, and baking as she was known to make all her children and grandchildren's birthday cakes & her holiday baking days.

Darline’s family would like to thank these special ladies who cared for their mother, Barb Brannam, Sonya Brown, and Stephanie Acey. Your compassion and empathy will not be forgotten.

A visitation for Darline will be held Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd, Arnold, MO 63010. A funeral service will occur Friday, January 27, 2023 at 10:00 AM, at the funeral home. Darline will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Shepherd Hills Cemetery, 1925 Old State Road M., St. Louis, MO 63012.
