Helen Baird Dickson

Born to Everett and Susie Marie Baird in Cowley, WY Helen was the second of 10 children. On August 14, 1940 she married John H Dickson in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. In January 1942 they moved to Tacoma, WA with their infant son Lynn so John could work in the shipyards during WWII. In 1946 with two more children, John “Jack” and Doris, in tow they moved to Enumclaw, WA where they lived until moving to Arlington, WA in 1960, their family now complete with Vivian, Grant (stillborn), and Roy. She resided in Arlington until her death at the age of 102. Helen loved being a mom and homemaker. After raising their family she and John served three missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints: Adam-ondi-Ahman Missouri, London England Temple, and Hamilton New Zealand Temple. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, parents, six siblings, and son Grant. She is survived by siblings: Rhea, Alice, and Frank (Carol), and her children: Lynn (Sharon) Dickson, John (Delores) Dickson, Doris (Knude) Swensen, Vivian (David) Wright, and Roy (Karen) Dickson. She has 32 grandchildren, 121 great-grandchildren, and 45 great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 8351 Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington, WA June 10th, 10AM viewing, 11AM service.
