Evelyn Lund Swanson

Evelyn Swanson, 98, passed away September 20, 2010 in Arlington, WA. She was born to Ole and Margrethe Lund on February 12, 1912 in Arlington. Evelyn attended Jordan Elementary School. Her greatest joy in life was being with her family. She also loved to work in her flower beds, which were well known for their beauty. Evelyn was a strong, caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She never forgot anyone’s special day and always gave so generously. She was preceded in death by Tage Swanson, her loving husband of 30 years in 1968 and sister Mildred Sundquist. Evelyn is survived by her daugher’s Doreen (Sonny) Olson of Arlington, Judy Cabe of Darrington, WA; sister Della (Dan) Curry of Arlington, 6 grandchildren (Pam, Stacey, Rick, Rocky, Denny & Julie), 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 25, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at Weller Funeral Home 327 N. MacLeod Ave., Arlington WA 98223 with a graveside service to follow at Arlington Municipal Cemetery.
