Marcia H. Macdonald born July 3, 1935 to Ruth Wheeler Macdonald and Herbert E. Macdonald died peacefully on Thursday, April 11, 2019.
Marcia spent her early life in Greenwood Lake, NJ. At the age of 5 her family moved to Monclair, NJ where she lived until she attended Smith College. Graduating in 1957, Marcia promptly moved to Washington DC to pursue her career.
She was originally employed by the National Security Agency and then spent a 39 year career at the non-profit Meridian International Center where she held various executive positions.
Marcia is survived by a host of cousins and many friends. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 18 at 11:00 at her long time place of worship, Georgetown Presbyterian Church, 3115 P Street NW, Washington D.C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Georgetown Presbyterian Church.
