Doris Eliot Hawthorne

Doris Eliot Stone Hawthorne, 92, passed away August 2, 2011. She lived in Arlington for over 60 years before moving to Goodwin House Bailey’s Crossroads in 2002. She is survived by her son, Randy Hawthorne (wife Shelby) of Williamsburg, VA; her daughter, Holly Hawthorne (husband Dean Scribner) of Arlington, VA; a brother, C. Merrill Stone of Plant City, FL; two step-grandsons, Justin and Garen Scribner; 20 nieces and nephews and many devoted friends. A memorial service will be held at Goodwin House Bailey’s Crossroads’ chapel, 3440 S. Jefferson St., Falls Church, VA 22041 Friday, August 12 at 1:00. The family will receive friends Friday, August 12, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Arlington Funeral Home, 3901 N. Fairfax Dr., Arlington, VA 22203. Funeral and inurnment will be at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 1132 N.
