Nécrologie de Andre Siron Johnson
Andre Siron Johnson was born on June 20, 1969 in Chicago, Illinois to Patricia Ann Baylock and Dorsey Cox. While he lost his father as a baby, he was adored by his mother, aunts, uncles and grandparents. He was raised in Chicago but spent his later years in the DMV area near his mother and sister. He became a big brother in 1981 when his sister, Candice was born. Despite their almost 12 year age difference, Andre instantly developed an inseparable bond and connection with his sister that would remain strong until the day he left this earth. Andre was deeply spiritual, insightful, loyal and devoted to those close to him, with an especially close relationship with his mother, Patricia. He called her almost every day, first thing in the morning with the greeting "Good morning, Queen!" or "Good morning, Beautiful!". He was charismatic, intelligent and over the years, gained a great deal of life experience from the various challenges and hardships he endured. This experience and charisma helped him to win over everyone he came into contact with. He loved children and went on to welcome his sons, Derrick Deandre and Niterrion, who were his pride and joy. Andre had a tough exterior but was a gentle spirit to his loved ones, especially his children, nieces and nephew. He was even affectionately named, “the baby whisperer” due to his innate ability to soothe and win over children. Andre enjoyed sports, writing and cooking. He learned how to cook from watching his grandmother and mom over the years and truly loved cooking and creating his own signature recipes. Andre shared so many of his gifts with others, often sharing his journey, spiritual guidance and life lessons with the world. He was a gifted writer and dreamed of writing a book and doing youth outreach and motivational speaking as he worked towards accomplishing his goals. Though his life was cut tragically short, he leaves behind a legacy of endurance, unconditional love and an inspiring story of grit and survival. Preceded in death are father, Dorsey Cox, maternal grandmother Minnie Johnson, paternal grandmother Marcella Cox and grandfather Alex Johnson. Survived by his mother, Patricia Baylock, sister, Candice Thomas, sons, Derrick Deandre and Niterrion and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
