Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 5829 Pleasant Ridge Road, Arlington. Interment: Parkdale Cemetery following the funeral. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington. Vigil: 6:30 p.m. Rosary: 7 p.m.

Fred was born in Waco on Dec. 7, 1920. He grew up in Arlington, attended Laneri Catholic High School in Fort Worth, and later received a BA degree from SMU. He had a long and varied career in the aviation industry, taking him all over the U.S. and the Far East.
Fred proudly served his country during World War II as a pilot in the U.S. Navy, earning the rank of lieutenant commander.
Survivors: Fred is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marjorie; son, Greg Glass of Houston; daughter, Susan Glass-Donelan and husband, Clive Donelan, of Arlington; grandson, Gray Strickland and wife, Corie Strickland, of Euless; granddaughter, Katie Reed of Tahlequah, Okla.; great-grandchildren, Melody Reed, Trinity Reed and Gavin Strickland; sisters, Mary Bennett, Billie Glass Geer
