Valda Jean McDonald

Valda Jean McDonald, age 91, passed away on March 26th 2024 in Red Oak Texas. She was born on May 5, 1932 in Dallas Texas to Elmer H. Jones and Beatrice Jones. Valda was raised in Dallas Texas. She Married Charles E. McDonald in 1950 and the couple had three children. She worked at the receiving Dept. at Dilley Trailers and Walmart in Lancaster where she was employed for over 20 years.

In her spare time Jean enjoyed making ceramics and she loved to crochet. She was an avid gardener and she loved to raise trees and kept her lawn looking nice and neat. Her family friends will always remember her as a good Christian woman that loved her family very much. She never complained about anything. Jean was a Sunday school teacher – she loved God with all of her heart.

She is preceded in death by her parents Elmer H. Jones and Beatrice Jones, her brothers Clifford Jones, Wallace Jones, Lavon Jones, her sister Dean McMullen, husband Charles E. McDonald, and her sons Ronnie McDonald and Michael Wayne McDonald.

She is survived by her son Gary D. McDonald (Donnie) and his wife Dorothy N. McDonald as well as several grandchildren.
