Thomas passed away on May 27, 2021, in Arlington, Texas of natural causes.
Thomas was the eldest son of Thomas W. Pierce, Sr., and Lillie Mae Fountain Pierce. Thomas Jr. was born in Holt, Florida on August 31, 1938, and grew up in Pensacola. He graduated from Pensacola High School in 1956, and in 1959 married Maurine Whitfield, daughter of J. G. Whitfield and Hazel Whitfield, also of Pensacola.
Thomas served in the U. S. Army from May 1960 to May 1963. He attended the University of Florida in 1963, where he graduated in June of 1966.
Thomas is survived by brothers Winston and Robert, their spouses Rebecca and Laura, multiple nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Pensacola Memorial Gardens Funeral Home at 7433 Pine Forest Road at 11:00 a.m., July 31, 2021. A burial ceremony will immediately follow the service.
