Teresa Melinda Stimson, age 52 of Joshua, passed away on October 15, 2022. She was born on November 11, 1969 in Arlington, Texas, the daughter of John Bowden and Katherine Quist Bowden. Teresa married Paul Stimson, Jr. and they celebrated 33 years of marriage together before her passing.
Teresa was an active woman who cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. At a young age, she attended Ogle School of Hair and received her cosmetology degree. She dedicated her time to her family and was their event coordinator, always attending her children’s events. Teresa loved to bake, cook, and spent a lot of time exploring her artistic side by creating arts and crafts. She was an avid reader and loved the Harry Potter series. Teresa was active at Cana Baptist Church, supported the youth programs at Lillian Baptist Church, and going on mission trips.
Teresa is survived by her husband Paul Stimson, Jr.; children Kristine Burch and husband Kevin, Danielle Brown and husband Wesley, and Kyle Stimson; grandchildren Jason Burch, Emma Marie Burch, Melinda Brown, and Emma Brown; her mother Katherine Bowden; sisters Dena Glover and husband Matthew and Kim Adams; and brother Curtis Bowden and wife Chellie. Teresa was preceded in death by her father, John.
Funeral service will be at 11:00am on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Cana Baptist Church, Burleson. Interment will follow at 2:00pm at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
