Roland Bergstrom, 86, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 12, 2022. A graveside service will be held at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday September 10, 2022.
Roland married Sandra Lauderdale on May 12, 1956. They raised 3 children and a later a granddaughter. He provided for his family in his career as an ironworker, helping to build the Dallas skyline of the 60’s and 70’s. After retirement, he owned a pawn shop. He was a member of the Texas Freemasons and had a passion for Model A cars and hot rods.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Danna Layne Vines and brother Melvin Ray Bergstrom. He is survived by his wife Sandra, son Scott N. Bergstrom and wife Trish, daughter Kimberly D. Fulk and husband Doug, granddaughter Jennifer L. Crandell and husband Cory, granddaughter Taylor B. Howell and husband Jonathan, granddaughter Katherine D. Proppe and husband Chris, grandson Allen D. Smith and wife Amy, and granddaughter Rebecca C. Carpenter and husband Newt, and 7 great grandchildren.
