Roberta was born in Dallas, Texas on February 4, 1954 to James Pringle Sr. and Laura Daversa. In 1972, she graduated from Grand Prairie High School in Grand Prairie, Texas before beginning a career in Information Technology (I.T.). While in the industry, Roberta worked for Business Records Corporation, Affiliated Computer Services, and Xerox. On December 4, 1982, she married Glenn Garner and together they shared 34 years of marriage before his death in 2016.
Roberta was a member of Joshua Baptist Church and had a passion for singing, dancing and Victorian antique decorating. She brought joy and love wherever she went. Even while living with Alzheimer's, Roberta told people every day that she loved them. She was blessed with a loving husband and many family and friends. God allowed her to die peacefully and easily.
Roberta is survived by her children: Todd Garner, Renee King, and Shawna Shepherd; her grandchildren: Justin King, Christin King, Annie Garner, Sofia Garner, Cole Garner, Colin Shepherd, and Carson Shepherd; her great grandchildren: Kyle Hughes, Connor King, and Kinsley King; her siblings: James Pringle, Raymond Pringle, and Mark Pringle; her niece, Jamie Dulcie; and her nephew, Justin Pringle, as well as their spouses & children.
A visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am on Monday, January 20th in the South Chapel of Moore Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00am, also in the South Chapel of Moore Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas. Burial to follow with ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association in Roberta’s name.
