Phyllis H. Poston, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Medical City Weatherford Hospital with her family by her side.
She was born March 16, 1947 in Atlanta, Georgia to James C. Hughes and Virginia G. Hughes. After many moves with the military, Phyllis finally settled in Arlington, Texas in 1979. Phyllis worked as a dedicated administrator with the Department of Defense until 2013. She loved her numerous trips to the Florida beach with her family and was affectionately known to her close family and friends as “Silly Phylly” for her light hearted and silly sense of humor.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Denise Baxter and Darren Poston and wife Stephenie Poston; four grandchildren, Trevor Baxter, Dalton Baxter, Luke Poston and Drew Poston; brother Joseph Craig Hughes and brother-in-law Jerry Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her sister Gayle Thompson.
Phyllis will be laid to rest at Moore Memorial Gardens on Monday, May 14th. The Funeral Service will be held at Moore Funeral Home at 10:00am. Interment will immediately follow at Moore Memorial Gardens.
