Nancy Ann Wilkinson

On Tuesday, July 16, 2024, Nancy Ann Wilkinson of Dalworthington Gardens, Texas, sadly left our lives too soon at the age of 59. She fought a terrible disease for 6 years that slowly took her beautiful mind and body. She passed peacefully at home.

Nancy grew up in Arlington, Texas. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1983. After high school, she attended college at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX, then transferred to the University of Texas in Arlington where she was a member of ZTA Sorority and earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting. After graduation in 1987 she began work for the Texas State Comptrollers Office as an Auditor; in 1990 she began working for Interstate Trailers as their Comptroller; in 1997 she left to collaborate with her husband at No Frills Grill & Sports Bar, which they had co-owned since January of 1995.

Nancy married Gregg Wilkinson in 1990 in Arlington, Texas. They were happily married for 34 years. Nancy adored her nieces and nephews; family was so important to her. Nancy was a lifelong devoted friend to her group of girls from childhood. She supported and set examples for young people throughout her life. To say Nancy loved to travel would be an understatement. The only thing that rivaled Nancy’s love of traveling was her love of animals. She was a resolute supporter of the SPCA of Texas, Arlington Life Shelter, St. Joseph Catholic School, The Grant Jackstadt Education Foundation (which she helped form over 22 years ago), plus numerous other charities.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Powell, and Ethel O’Brien Powell.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Gregg of Dalworthington Gardens, Texas; step-daughter, Kristie Duhon; granddaughter, Bristol Razzi Duhon; sister, Joanie (and Mark) DesRochers, brother, Tim (and Vivian) Powell, brother Chris (and Karen) Powell, brother, Steven (and Renee) Powell; plus many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and 2 great-great nephews.

A visitation will be held at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home, 4216 S. Bowen Road, Arlington, TX 76016 on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Funeral service will be held at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1200 S. Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76013, Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at 2:00pm.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the SPCA of Texas or Bosque Animal Rescue Kennels.
