Nancy Patricia Canton, age 81, of Arlington, passed away on October 20, 2017 with her family at her side. She was born on August 6, 1936 in Barnesville, Ohio, the daughter of Homer and Bessie (Wineman) Alexander. Nancy married Donald Canton in 1958, sharing 59 years of marriage.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Don; 5 children; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; a sister Barbara Grimes and brother Tom Alexander. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters.
Nancy was an avid Cowboys fan and never missed a game; she loved life and especially her family; she provided a positive influence on her many friends. She will be remembered for her generous heart, her caring attitude, her enduring courage and zest for life.
Her life will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 24 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1927 SW Green Oaks Blvd., in Arlington. Visitation with Nancy and her family will begin at 10AM, the Rosary will be recited at 10:30, and church services at 11AM, followed by a reception in the church hall.
