Millie Elizabeth Paulette Brown, 49, of Arlington, Texas died on June 22, 2023. She was born May 24th, 1974, in Dallas, Texas 30 minutes after her twin, LaDonna. She graduated from Lewisville High School in 1994. Elizabeth married Creig Brown December 11, 2010, in a beautifully themed Christmas wedding. She was adopted as an adult on October 29, 2009, by Russell & Stacie.
Elizabeth worked for the City of Arlington for 20 years starting as a receptionist in the Parks & Recreation Department. She was a part of the team that created the “Naturally Fun” logo for the Department. Elizabeth truly shined in accounting and quickly made her way up the chain to finally be an Account Analyst in the Housing Department. Elizabeth loved & took great pride in working for the Housing Department because it made her feel as though she was truly being of service to her community.
Elizabeth loved traveling and being on vacation, she’s been all over but two of her favorite vacations were to Hawaii where she enjoyed a helicopter tour of the island of Oahu and New York, New York where she went to multiple Broadway shows. Elizabeth loved being pampered, deeply so, every time she went to the mall you could find her at the massage kiosk, face down, getting a back massage not to mention the nearly bi-weekly foot massages she would get.
Hurricane Harbor was a way life for her, her twin, & their children dating back to Wet & Wild. Swimming & tanning were a summer must! Elizabeth could really cut a rug! She would dance in any location at any time. Elizabeth embraced motherhood with enthusiasm & pride. She always put her daughters needs before her own. She was very protective of her daughters to the point of their exasperation, but they knew she had their best interests at heart. Aunt Paulette was a joy to her twins’ children, who always felt that she met them right where they were without judgement, open-heartedly.
Elizabeth loved her church family at New Beginning Worship Center in Arlington, Tx. The minute she joined she hit the ground running, she was active in their media ministry, youth ministry, their historical collective ministry and was a proud member of The Radiant Women of Power. Elizabeth left an monumental impact upon her church family, she will be sorely missed.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her biological Mother, Darlene Davies; her sister, Michelle Shields; and her grandfather, Norman Wall II. Elizabeth was survived by her husband Creighton Brown; her children, Lauren Mitchell and Camilla Brown; her parents, Russell and Stacie York; her siblings LaDonna York and Paul Davies Jr.; her niece & nephews, Spencer Latoski, Ryder York, and Mandalynn Latoski; her goddaughter Amora Ryan; her best friends, Keith York and Tywanda Knight.
