Lynn Ella Wise

Lynn Ella Brown was born April 30, 1926, in Beeville, Texas, to parents Henry Lee Brown and Hazel Lynn Farris Brown. She was one of eight children that included four girls and four boys. She grew up in and around the Devine, Texas area. Lynn Ella taught school for a number of years. She discovered her love of painting later in life and left us with many gorgeous paintings. She was a member of the New York Avenue Church of Christ for many, many years. She married Melvin Adams in 1948 and together they had three sons, Floyd, Dennis, and George, and one daughter, Mary Ella. Melvin passed away in 1980.

In 1984 Lynn Ella married Wilbert Wise. She welcomed Wilbert’s three adult daughters, Karen, Michelle, and Choralen, into her heart. Wilbert passed away in 2017.

Lynn Ella was preceded in death by her first husband, Melvin Adams, and their daughter Mary Ella Allen; her second husband, Wilbert Wise; her brothers Henry Lee, Farris, Eugene & Leonard Brown; and her sisters Christine Rigby and Frankie Hawkins.

Survivors include her son Floyd Adams and wife Carol; son Dennis Adams; son George Adams and wife Tonya; and son-in-law Bob Allen; stepdaughter Karen Branzell and husband Mark; stepdaughter Choralen LaSalle and husband Jerry; and stepdaughter Michelle Sorcic; her sister Mary Killough and husband Bill; brother-in-law DC Rigby, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
