Leona Lola Featherston Smith, 86, pass from this world to eternal freedom with the Lord on August 25, 2010.
Memorial service will be held at Unity Church of Grapevine on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to your favorite charity.
Leona was born on July 2, 1924 in Chandler, Texas to George and Bessie Rea Featherson. Leona attended Brownsboro schools through graduation after which she attended Beauty College in Dallas, Texas. She was a hairdresser of more than forty years.
Leona was preceded in death by her husband Warren D. Smith, cherished grandson David Boyd, parents and two brothers. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Though we mourn her passing, we take geat comfort in that she is with the Lord. She leaves her daughters, Daphna Locke, Melissa and her husband John Braswell; grandchildren, Jeff and Kyle Braswell, Eric Locke, Stacy Cannaday; and great grandchildren Kayla and Jet Braswell, Kylie and Claire Cannaday.
