Larry Ray Hawkins, 64, passed away on April 5, 2018 at his home in Arlington. He was born at Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth, Texas on December 2, 1953. He worked, and was Vice President, at Ray’s Champion Spring, a family owned business established by his father.
Larry was a unique soul with a heart of gold. He loved traveling, hiking in the mountains, and unwinding at Possum Kingdom Lake. He always considered everyone’s wellbeing and people noted him as a handyman that could repair just about anything. Most of all, Larry loved spending time with his whole family, including his pets.
He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Ray Hawkins.
Larry is survived by his wife of 25 years, Ann Hawkins, mother Maxine Hawkins, daughter Samantha Hawkins, brothers Robert Hawkins, Michael Hawkins and wife Sylvia, sister Michelle Taylor and husband Gary, nephews Dustin Hawkins and wife Jillian, Joseph Taylor and wife Kara, nieces Hilaree Hawkins-Farha and husband Chris, Dana Felps and husband Lonnie, Sarah Cruz and husband Art, Uncle Charles Adams and wife Lindsay, his dogs Cocoa and Duke and cats Jewels and Fuzzball, and countless other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life gathering for Larry will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas.
