She was born in Austin, TX on March 30, 1943. Jo wanted to go to college and when her youngest child started school she enrolled at the University of Texas at Arlington. She received her Masters degree in history 3 years later. She taught history at Carter Junior High in Arlington where she was selected teacher of the year in 1986.
She is survived by her husband Eugene Bristow; three children, Tracey and her husband Erich Ramsey, Ray Bristow and his wife Jeana, and Andy Bristow and his wife Monique; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; her brother, Ronnie Hamilton of Elgin, TX, a niece, nephews and loved ones.
A visitation for Jo will be held Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A funeral service will occur Friday, September 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012.
