It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jean Maples Pridemore, who left us peacefully on December 12, 2024 at the age of 83. Born on February 24, 1941, she was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many.
In her younger days, Jean was a spirited softball player, known for her fierce competitiveness and unwavering dedication to the game. Her passion for softball not only brought her joy but also created lasting memories with family, teammates and friends. She taught those around her the importance of teamwork, perseverance, and having fun, both on and off the field.
Beyond her love for sports, Jean had a vibrant personality and an adventurous spirit, that led her to love the excitement of visiting casinos, a friendly game of cards with family, or bingo. She relished the thrill of the game and the laughter that accompanied it. Her zest for life was contagious, and she had a unique ability to bring people together, creating bonds that will endure even in her absence.
Jean is survived by her loving children, Gregory Pridemore and Gina Pridemore, and her cherished grandchildren, Tristan Pridemore, Brandi McKnight, Austin Edenfield, Danielle Tash, Kaden Pridemore, and Dakota Pridemore. Also, her great-grandchildren, Adelyn McKnight, Paisley Martin, Conner McKnight, Layla Johnson, Bobby Johnson III. She is now at peace with her beloved husband, Lonie Pridemore, their love story continues to inspire all who knew them. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments that will forever be treasured by all who knew her.
Rest in peace, Jean. Your spirit will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
A visitation for Jean will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home, 4216 South Bowen Road, Arlington, TX 76016. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at 10:00 AM, 4216 South Bowen Road, Arlington, TX 76016. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 N Davis Dr, Arlington, TX 76012.
