ARLINGTON -- James E. Grisham went to be with his heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral: Noon Friday, June 12, at Moore Funeral Home-Bowen Road Chapel. Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery with military honors. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
James was born Dec. 28, 1933, to George and Naomi Grisham in Cerro Gordo, Tenn. On May 21, 1954, he married Lucy Bennett and spent 61 years of wedded bliss. In 1953 James enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He served three tours in the Vietnam War and in 1973 retired from the U.S. Army. James loved music and spending time with his family.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one sister, Hilma Brown; and brother, George H. Grisham.
Survivors: Wife, Lucy Grisham; son, James M. Grisham (Shellie); granddaughter, Jessica Feilberg; sister, Annette Delaney; and numerous nieces and nephews.
