Gary B. Ferrell

Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at Moore Funeral Home under the direction of Robert Bennett. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Moore Funeral Home.

Gary was born in Mount Pleasant where he spent most of his teens. Then moved to Arlington where he resided until his death. He was a member of Southside Church of Christ in Mount Pleasant.

Gary's passion in life was reading. He always had a book in his hand wherever or whenever you saw him. He loved photography and took courses at TCJC and UTA. Earlier in life he worked as a barber and he always had a smile on his face.

He was preceded in death by stepfather, Harold Coke of Arlington; grandparents, Robert and Bonnie Montgomery of Winfield and Mount Pleasant and Dr. J.B. and Cleo Ferrell of Mount Pleasant; uncle, Doyle Montgomery of Winfield and Fort Worth; uncle and aunt, Robert and Gloria Montgomery of Texarkana; aunt, Nancy Montgomery of Texarkana; uncle, Joe Ferrell of Mount Pleasant; and aunt, Sunshine Coker of Mount Pleasant.

Survivors: Mother, Dorothy Coke of Arlington; aunt, Margaret Norton, and uncle, Mack Montgomery, of Texarkana; special, special friends, Louise Butcher and Dick Kneeland; and cousin, Martha Clinton, whom he considered a sister.
