Etta M Graham Etta Mae Graham Etta Mae Harris Graham, 93, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, in Grand Prairie. Etta was born on February 27, 1931, in Vanndale, Arkansas, the oldest of eight children to Willie Kay and Mildred Lucille Harris. While attending Parkin High School, she met her one true love, Frank “Pete” Leon Graham. They were married on March 27, 1948. Frank and Etta moved to Roswell, New Mexico in 1960, where they raised their family and built a life together.
Etta worked at many vocations in her life, one of which was a floor supervisor at the Levi Strauss plant in Roswell. She was a talented seamstress and loved to sew and crochet for her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening and cooking for those she loved.
In retirement, Etta and Frank moved to Arlington to be near Garry and his family while taking care of Frank’s health. Etta was a strong, cheerful, feisty woman who loved God and her family.
Etta was preceded in death by her husband Frank, her brother Alvin, her sister Mary, and parents Willie Kay and Mildred.
She is survived by daughter Pamela Alexander of Columbus, Ohio; son Larry Graham and wife Nancy of Lubbock; and son Garry Graham and wife Julie of Arlington.
She also leaves behind grandchildren Kelly Stowell of San Antonio; Erin Baxter and husband Mitchell of Lubbock; Amy Shepherd and husband Thomas of Plano; Jenny Barker and husband Adam of Columbus, Ohio; Rachel Robertson and husband Graeme of Arlington; Emily Bredow and husband Andrew of Mansfield; Shannon Crawford and husband Jay of Waxahachie; and nine great-grandchildren with the tenth on the way.
She is also survived by her beloved siblings, Betty Lou Meredith of Willard, New Mexico; Billy Joe Harris and wife Karen of Post Falls, Idaho; Bea Scates of Roswell, New Mexico; Ruby Hubbard of Roswell, New Mexico; and Eugenia Olson and husband Tim of Edgewood, New Mexico. Etta also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members. Arrangements are being made by Moore Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens for Saturday, April 27, 2024.
Visitation for family and friends will take place at 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM and graveside services following at Moore Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
