Don was always one of the great ones to work with.  We were saddened to hear this news.

My deepest sympathy to your family. Don was one of the most respected OM Center Mgrs. I was a new Center Mgr in New Orleans in the early 90s and Don, so many times, gave counsel and encouragement. Nice and kind are the words that keep resonating in all the remembrances, and, he was!

Don leaves many pleasant memories.  I remember his smile and chuckle put people at ease.  My heartfelt condolences to his family he cared so deeply for.

We've lost one of the really great guys and I feel so fortunate to have worked for Don.  He was a great teacher, an inspirational leader, and a true gentleman.  He will be missed and my prayers go out to his family.

It is a sad day when you must say good bye to a friend like Don.  Besides being very successful he was a humble man and always a true Gentleman.  Over the years we had many great conversations / mostly all about business.  Don never took any of his many awards for granted.
Our love and prayers are with his family as they celebrate his great life.  May he rest in peace.

The passing of Don leaves me so sad, but Heaven is a more joyous place today. He touched so many people in such a positive way.  I don't know of a single person who had anything to say about Don that wasn't positive.  Great salesman, great friend, great boss.  You just don't see many like him anymore.  Rest in Peace, friend.

With my heartfelt sympathies, I write to you all, Don's family and loved ones. I am just another one of many people who had the pleasure of knowing Don at Oscar Mayer in Dallas. I worked in the smaller foodservice division that most people in Don's organization looked down upon. Don was always very gracious and warm to me during my time in Dallas, right before his retirement. He had every reason not to care, but he did. I have thought of him often over my career and I know he has helped me to be a better "company" man and a better person. You all and he, will be in my thoughts and prayers.

What a great inspiration and friend he was to myself and others.  I always looked forward to going into his office and listening to what he had to say.  He was a joy to take on a customer call, I thought it brightened their day as much as it did mine.

Don's passing is a significant loss for all.  Don was a primary changing force in my life, as I watched him provide constant examples of kindness toward his fellow man and compassion for those who were hurting or troubled.  As a friend, Don was one of the "coolest" guys ever.  We had many great experiences and talks that I will carry with me forever.  Goodbye for now, my friend.  I will see you later.
