David Lee Bourland, age 68, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024.
Couldn't recall meeting anyone that had done or seen a fraction of what he'd seen and done. Wondered often why people just didn't understand why he spent so much time looking at or listening to something.
From very early on, thought education was terribly overrated, couldn't pass up an opportunity to touch, watch, or listen to airplanes. After seeing much of the world up close and personal, understood clearly that money was a poor measure of wealth. Gained a sincere appreciation for the history and beauty of the United States.
Learned way too early in life that best friends are irreplaceable and loneliness takes a lot of the color out of life. Never quite accepted the notion of forgiveness. Liked clean sheets, shag carpet, eggs-on-toast, tuna casserole, baker's burritos, caramel-colored carbonated beverages, the wind, the rain, and being here for awhile.
