Dear Smith Family please know that we still pray for the Lord's comfort as you endure the loss of him in this life. How thankful we are that he is in heaven completely healed!
He was a wonderful husband, father, uncle, and friend.  We are so thankful to have known him. Cherish and share your memories because they are part of his legacy.

Our Dearest Margaret,

Even though we've known each other for a short while, Florence and I can't imagine being closer to you both than we already are.  During our visits we always felt welcomed and loved.  Dan and my outings together were a blessing for me each and every time.

Whenever anyone wanted to find Dan in our Bible Study Class we knew right where to look; always in the front row directly in front of our teacher.

Margaret, you know our feelings and our hearts. We love you.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.  Uncle Danny was so generous and kind.  He'll always be remembered for those qualities.

Although we have never met, we have often prayed for you and your sweet husband.  Jan has shared what a kind and loving man he was.  She told
us how beautifully he displayed the many characteristics of our Lord Jesus
Christ.  He will have many crowns to cast at the feet of Jesus!  We will continue to pray that God will give you peace, courage and restored joy in knowing you will not

Daniel and I are so thankful for knowing such a wonderful man and grandfather.  I want to thank you, Margaret, for all that you have done for Daniel and myself.  I have told Mel that if you need me to stay with you on a Saturday or Sunday when Daniel is at his Dad's I am more than happy to do this for you.  Daniel and I will keep you in our prayers.  We love you dearly.

Our hearts and prayers are with you today as you celebrate the beautiful life of Danny. He loved his family past and present. He loved his "Only You", his Margaret. He loved God and was a good and faithful servant. He was a positive person even when he was faced with his illness. He would point out all the positives that each treatment would accomplish. He is now in the loving arms of his Lord and Savior recieving a much needed rest. May we feel the presence of his and God's arms helping to lift us up as we go through our lives day by day.

I was so blessed to have known Dan and will miss him greatly.

The loss of one so dear is difficult to bear but with God's help, we can endure.

Dan & I attended the same Bible Study Class on Sunday mornings.  Dan's wit and knowledge was a blessing to the class.  In our one-on-one talks, we discovered an amazing number of similarities.  Our first loves were named Margaret; we both had four children by Margaret; we both were in the Air Force about the same time; we both were Engineers; we both worked and retired from the same company; and we both loved our Friendship Class at Tate Springs Baptist Church.  A good man, Dan!  I won't forget!
