He was born in Vernon on Dec. 31, 1920, and graduated from Sudan High School in 1939. Cleo was married to Dorothy Poteet in 1941 and remained her faithful and loving husband for 67 years. He served in the Army during World War II in the South Pacific, from 1942-1946. Cleo became a resident in Fort Worth in 1946. He worked as a route salesman for Foremost Dairies from 1946-1962. He then became an agent for State Farm Insurance and retired in 1991. Cleo cared for his wife, Dorothy, from 1997 to 2009 as she went through the stages of Alzheimer's. Cleo was a man of integrity in work, marriage and caring for his family. He loved people, his country, golf, baseball and watching his garden grow. Cleo was a member of Handley United Methodist Church. He served well and loved his brothers and sisters in the church for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Poteet Hill; parents, Palmer and Pearl Hill; three brothers; and one sister.
Survivors: Daughter, Debbie Norman and grandson, Daniel Norman, of Little Rock, Ark.; granddaughter, Kenyon Quatrino, great-granddaughters, Avery and Anna Quatrino; great-grandson, John Daniel Quatrino, of Land O' Lakes, Fla.; brother, Delmar Hill of Las Vegas, Nev.; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
