Billy Joe Hall, Sr.

Billy Joe Hall Sr., 84, of Livingston Texas, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on Christmas Eve, 1939, Billy lived a life marked by dedication, service, and an unwavering commitment to family.

A proud graduate of Lynchburg High School, Billy went on to serve his country honorably in the US Army for 8 years. Following his military service, he embarked on a successful 30-year career with Xerox Corp., rising from Technician to District Manager through his determination and leadership skills. Billy was well respected at work for his commitment to his employees and doing what was right for the company he worked for. His team that worked with him were like family and those relationships continued until his passing.

Billy's greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Cecelia Ann Miller Hall; sons, Billy Joe Jr. and Brett Jennings; 8 grandchildren, Heather, Corey, Brittnie, Lacey, Hunter, Dustin, Tyler and Jaden; 5 great-grandchildren, Mason, Spencer, Adley, Hayes and AJ, with 2 more on the way; and his sister, Jean. He was preceded in death by his son, Barry Jason; parents, Albert and Mary; brother, Paul; and sister, Dimple.

Billy's passions extended beyond his work and family. He was an avid outdoorsman, finding joy in fishing and hunting with his sons and friends. His green thumb was legendary, turning his garden into a masterpiece. His garden and yard were his place of peace and quiet and he could be found there most days.

In his later years, Billy developed a keen interest in the stock market and enjoyed challenging his mind with games of poker and chess. His competitive spirit and sense of humor were cornerstones of family gatherings, where his playful trash talk was always delivered with love.

Billy Joe Hall Sr. will be remembered as a man who embraced life with enthusiasm, whether advancing his career, reeling in a big catch, or enjoying time with his family. His legacy of hard work, dedication, and love for family will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Billy Joe Hall Sr. lived a life worth celebrating. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.

A service for Billy will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Moore Bowen Road Funeral Home, 4216 South Bowen Road, Arlington, TX 76016. Following the service will be a graveside service at 2:15 PM at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.
