Born Christmas Day 1925, the youngest child of Myrtle and EE Vezey of College Station, Texas, Betty Nedderman died peacefully following a heart attack, surrounded by her loving family, in the early morning of January 12, 2015, aged 89 years and 18 days.Funeral: 2:00pm Saturday at First Christian Church, 910 S. A graduate of Texas Woman's University, she married Wendell Nedderman, of Lovilla, Iowa, on December 20, 1947. She devoted the next 67 years to her husband and family. Known for her gentleness, modesty and grace, her influence in her family will extend beyond the three generations she knew.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Stanley Vezey (Athens GA) and her sister Eloise Thompson Dromgoole (Sour Lake TX), and is survived by her sister-in-law, Eleanor Vezey (Athens GA) and her brother Earl Vezey (Norman OK).
She is also survived by her husband, Wendell H. Nedderman, and four sons: Howard Nedderman, and wife Terri, (Arlington TX); John Nedderman (Southlake TX); Jeff Nedderman, and wife Faye (Colleyville TX); Eric Nedderman, and wife Kim (Frisco TX), as well as eldest granddaughter, Kristi Nedderman (Jonesboro AK); 12 additional grandchildren who adored their Mimi, and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom delighted her to her last day.
Betty was a member of First Christian Church, Arlington, Texas, since 1959, and lent her soprano voice to the choir for 25 years. She remained active in events at The University of Texas at Arlington, where she served as First Lady for 20 years and was an Honorary Distinguished Alumna, and in organizations promoting education, fine arts, and athletics.
She will be greatly missed, and her memory treasured, by all who knew and loved her
