Arthur E. Ellington

Arthur (Art) Edgar Ellington, Jr., age 89 of Midlothian, TX passed away August 22, 2016. Art was born on October 26, 1927 in Kaufman, TX to Maggie and Arthur Ellington, Sr. He married Ella Faye Hankins on October 28, 1943 in Wichita Falls, TX. Faye preceded him in death in 2013, after nearly 70 years of marriage. The family is celebrating their Heavenly reunion.

Art is lovingly remembered by his children, Jan Hollingsworth and her husband Mike of Azle, TX, Connie Criswell and her husband Ron of Grapevine, TX, Linda DiFede and her husband John of Horseshoe Bay, TX, Dana Romero and her husband Gene of Glorieta, NM and Rick Ellington and his wife Mitzi of Midlothian, TX ; along with grandchildren Damon Criswell, Bryan Hollingsworth, Lesli Bailey, Wendy Garner, William Harding, Alina Schrom, Nathan Ellington and Trevor Ellington, as well as great grandchildren Abigail, John Michael, Bridget, Houston, Londyn, Layne, Georgia, Lyla, Alexis, Keesin and Cameron.

Art’s family also wish to acknowledge the nurturing support of Heart to Heart Hospice and especially Nurse Kelly Shaw, who cared for him with such compassion and love in the last few months of his earthly life.

The funeral will be held at Moore Funeral Home on August 27, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., with Chaplain Alastair Howie officiating. Interment will follow at Moore Memorial Gardens immediately following.
