Anthony John Bielecki, Jr., Ph.D., P.E., age 89 of Arlington, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2021. He was born on September 5, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Anthony John Bielecki, Sr. and Emily (Wiechec) Bielecki.
Tony proudly served five years in the US Air Force, flying as a fighter pilot and subsequently as B-47 (nuclear-capable bomber) crew member in the Strategic Air Command. He graduated from Illinois Institute of Technology and later received his PhD in Physics from Texas Christian University. He was an NCEES board certified professional engineer in the fields of aeronautical and electrical engineering. Tony worked for Vought, General Dynamics, and Lockheed Martin on aerodynamic design and flight control system design. He retired in 1994 to pursue novel fighter aircraft technologies, physics research in the area of gravitation theory, and geopolitical studies. In his retirement he also enjoyed flying light aircraft, and was an active member and swimmer at the YMCA.
Tony was the devoted husband of the late Sara Elizabeth (Dean) Bielecki, who passed away in 1991. He is survived by their children Joseph Bielecki, Anthony Bielecki and his wife Rose Redmond, Mary Bielecki Snellings, and Sara Bielecki-White; and grandchildren Elvena Bielecki, Maxim Bielecki, Sergey Bielecki, Rachel Snellings, and Robin Snellings.
Graveside service and military honors will be at 10:00am on Friday, October 15, 2021 at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
