Born in Culp, TX on August 31, 1923. Graduated high school in Abbott, TX and was drafted into the US Army in 1941 at the age of 18. Served as Corporal in the WWII 300th Combat Army Corp of Engineers, Co C for 3 years in France, Belgium, & Germany. Fought in 5 major battles including the invasion of Utah Beach in Normandy, France and the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium. Earned 5 Bronze Stars for his bravery in combat. Later attended Navarro County College.
Married Wanda Miller in Cleburne, TX after the war and settled in Hillsboro where they owned a furniture store. Later moved to Fort Worth, Arlington, & Mansfield where they owned many small businesses over the years. Ended his career in insurance sales at the age of 75 and continued to serve his community until his death.
Dedicated member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years and served in many community organizations such as Lion’s Club & Toastmasters.
Aaron was a proud foster parent for over 30 years for the Tarrant County CPS. He & his wife helped countless children in need and they loved & cherished every minute of it.
In May 2011, he was honored to participate in the Freedom Flight to view the WWII National Memorial in Washington, DC.
Aaron is preceded in death by his parents, John & Ina Glenn of Culp, TX; brother Auburn Moody Glenn & sister Clemmie Lee Glenn.
Survived by his loving wife Wanda Glenn, son Tony Aaron Glenn & wife Teresa, daughter Tina Glenn Pace & husband Jerry, Grandchildren Bailey Aaron Glenn, Kaitlyn Morgan Glenn, Brandon Grissom & wife Tasha, and great grandchildren Lacie Renee Bogart & Kade Gunner Grissom.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 29th at 1:00 PM at Crestmont Baptist Church, 640 NW Tarrant Ave, Burleson, TX. Visitation: Friday, March 28th, 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the church. Aaron will be laid to rest in Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro, TX
