Thomas R. Riley

Thomas R. Riley, 72 of Arlington Heights was born March 12, 1950 in Chicago to the late Thomas R. Riley and Olive (nee Walt) Riley and passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022. Tom was the beloved husband of Nancy K. (nee Wilson) Riley; loving father of Julie (Rob) Breeden, Cheryl Riley and Tom (Jen) Riley; cherished Grandpa of Riley, Madelyn, Emma, Brayden, Mason, Henry and Hannah; brother of Marge Riley, Ken Riley (Harold Ellis) and Barb (Evan) Woodhouse and fond uncle to nieces and nephews.

Tom taught Woodshop for 30 years at Winston Campus School in Palatine while also working as a mechanic for 10 plus years at Ken’s Arlington. He enjoyed fishing at his lake house in Wisconsin, spending time with his Grandchildren and was always working on a project! Tom was always there to lend a helping hand whenever he could, share a story or two and will be missed by many.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 1st from 3-8 pm at St. John United Church of Christ, 308 N. Evergreen, Arlington Heights. Funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 2 at 10 a.m. at St. John United Church of Christ, 308 N. Evergreen, Arlington Heights. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Ann and Robert H. Lurie Childrens Hospital or St. John United Church of Christ.
