Theresa Giannelli

Theresa was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas Giannelli; loving mother to Isabella Giannelli and the late Michael (Janet) Giannelli; and cherished grandmother of Nicole Giannelli, Karly Giannelli, and Erika (Jimmy) Barbaglia.

Theresa moved from Italy to Chicago, IL at the age of 13, and relocated to Park Ridge when she married in 1950. She was married to her husband, Nicholas for 43 years, until he passed away in 1993. Theresa valued family over all else and loved to host dinners for her children, grandchildren, numerous cousins, and friends where she cooked all the traditional Italian favorites for everyone to enjoy. For many years she was involved in her Parrish, Our Lady of Ransom, as well as the ‘Chiacchierone’ Italian club, and she loved shopping, Italian music, dancing, and keeping everyone she knew on their toes with her snappy wit and sense of humor. She will be missed by many but her family is comforted knowing that she is at peace in heaven, reunited in God with her late parents, husband, and son.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 7th, 2024 from 4 - 8 PM at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 East Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights, Illinois, and Friday, March 8th, 2024 from 9:00 AM until the time of the funeral mass at 10:00 AM at St. James Church, 831 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Entombment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
