Teresa Maria Citrano

Teresa Maria Citrano, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2024, at the age of 80 in Des Plaines, IL. Born on May 20, 1944, in Spain. Cherished daughter of the late Jose Feijoo and the late Perpetua Gonzalez.

Teresa Maria is survived by her husband, of 55 years, Onofrio “Peter” Citrano. Loving mother of Enza (Victor) Zamora and Sal (Jennifer) Citrano. Proud nonna of Gianna Zamora, Marco Zamora, Ethan Citrano, Olivia Citrano, and Noah Citrano. Dear sister of Pedro (Ester) Feijoo Gonzalez, Manolo (Marissa) Feijoo Gonzalez, Ramon (Ines) Feijoo Gonzalez, Mari Carmen (the late Manolo) Feijoo Gonzalez, and the late Jose Feijoo Gonzalez. Dearest sister-in-law to Michele (Maria) Citrano, the late Antonino (Domenica) Citrano, the late Salvatore (the late Maria Concetta) Citrano, the late Concetta (the late Vincenzo) Scinaldi, and the late Vito (the late Anna) Citrano. Teresa Maria is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Teresa Maria was a beacon of warmth in her community and a cherished animal lover, whose compassion for all living creatures knew no bounds.

As a devoted mother and grandmother, Teresa Maria’s greatest joy was found in the laughter and love of her family. Her role as mom was performed with an unmatched grace and selflessness that only grew more profound with the arrival of her grandchildren. She embraced every moment with them, imparting lessons of love and life with a gentle touch and a generous heart.

Those who knew Teresa Maria will remember her as the epitome of kindness. Her ability to listen with an open heart made her an invaluable confidant and friend. She lived her life with a zest that was contagious, inspiring those around her to appreciate the simple joys and to face challenges with courage.

Family will be receiving guests on Monday, November 25, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. An additional visitation will be from 9:30 AM until time of service at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at St Emily Catholic Church, 1400 E Central Rd, Mt Prospect, IL 60056. Burial to follow at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL.
