We always loved your mom, Phyllis.  She was always so full of life and fune.  She was such a great friend to our Mom & Dad, Murph & Heinie Nierman.  We will never forget Phil & Rich and all the memories.  Our thoughts are with you!

It is so sad to hear about the death of your Mother Phyllis.  She was a wonderful person and a good friend of my Mom's throughout their lives.  They are in Heaven together with Rich and Heinie shuffling a deck of cards!  Love to your family.  Corinne (Kuk Nierman) Steinmiller

    Your Mom was my Aunt, Godmother, and role model.  I remember visiting when I was about eight.  Bill was a baby.  It was very hot out and there were men working to build the house next door.  Your Mom made a big pitcher of iced lemonade and took it over to them.  That experience has often been the inspiration for random acts of kindness in my own life.
     Over the many years, Aunt Phyllis has been there for me in so many ways.  Novenas were her favorite ways of giving.  She always had my back.  In recent years, we have had many long phone conversations and have been book buddies, sharing our favorite books, both in conversation and by sending books to one another.
     I feel so blessed to have been able to share in the good-bye process these last few weeks by phone and by mail.  I will certainly miss her presence in my life.
     Love to all of the family.  Thank you for helping to keep me connected.  I love the pictures.  They got me up to date on the whole family.  I regret that I will not be able to come up for the visitation or funeral.  You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Together, Aunt Phyllis and Uncle Rich were a love story with a sense of adventure. It began in the uncertainties of World War II and grew over the years. We lose another large and open heart in Aunt Phyllis, but she has left us inspiring memories as she rejoins Uncle Rich in heaven. Our love, thoughts and prayers,
