Patricia E. Anderson

Patricia ‘Pat’ E. Anderson passed away on March 18, 2024, in Arlington Heights, Illinois. She was born on November 19, 1932, in Detroit, Michigan, to George and Mary Kathryn ‘Kay’ Tracy. Pat was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. She is survived by her loving children: Patti (Michael) Dorner, Mary (Stephen) Duffy, Kathryn (Edward) Schuessler and Michael (Amy) Anderson; her loving grandchildren Emily (Jared) Ford, Bradley (Rachel) Dorner, Erin (Mason) McAnally, Matthew Duffy, Benjamin Schuessler, Elizabeth Schuessler, Samantha (Alex) Porter, Nicole Anderson and Eric Anderson; her great-grandchildren Makenna, Audrey and Charlie Ford and her sister Nancy Brennan and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pat is preceded in death by her husband George L. Anderson, her parents, her granddaughter Laura Duffy, her brother-in-law Richard Brennan and special friend George Miller.

Pat was a devoted Catholic, who said the rosary daily, and an active member of the Our Lady of the Wayside parish for 55 years, having contributed to many ministries and providing administrative support to the church’s Business Office. Pat also loved to bowl, travel, walk the beach, and play Bridge and other card games. She worked as an Office Manager for Honeywell and retired after 30 years.

A visitation will take place from 2:00pm until 6:00pm on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004. A visitation will also take place at 10:00am followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00am on March 25, 2024, at Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 440 S. Mitchell Ave., Arlington Heights, IL 60005. Interment at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery, Palatine, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Our Lady of the Wayside School – Gloria Rebeck Scholarship Fund or the Alzheimer’s Association at act.alz.org.
