Mark E. Norris was born March 4, 1946 in Aurora to Warren J. and Ruth (nee Bornemeier) Norris. He died peacefully February 2, 2018 at his home in Arlington Heights, surrounded by his family.

Mark served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He worked as a Warehouse Distribution Systems Analyst at WW Grainger from 1973 until his retirement in 2006. His favorite pastimes included being “Grampa” to Andy and Sara, fishing, woodworking, photography, landscaping/home repair, watching the birds and squirrels. He was a dog lover and an avid Chicago sports fan.

Mark is survived by his wife Linda (nee Nemeyer) Norris; his children Amy (Chris) Miller, Jeffrey Norris and Keith Norris; his grandchildren Andrew and Sara Miller and by his brother David (Suzanne) Norris and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Suman, William, Tina at Journey Care and the caregivers at Synergy Homecare.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial visitation Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Memorial service 11:00 AM, Friday, February 9, 2018 at Glueckert Funeral Home. Interment private.
