Lori Marie Fiscus, 61 of Arlington Heights was born April 12, 1959 and passed away December 29, 2020 after a yearlong battle with cancer. Lori was the beloved wife of Michael Fiscus; loving mother of Matthew (Bridget) Fiscus, Erik (Vanessa) Fiscus and Bradley Fiscus; proud grandmother Kailee. Noah, Cheyanne, Mia, Jake, Sawyer and Kensley; cherished daughter of Marilyn and the late Laddie C. Janda and dear sister of Lynn (Robert) East and the late Laddie E. Janda. Lori was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church in Arlington Heights teaching confirmation and playing in the bell choirs. She also participated in the church’s mixed bowling league, mixed softball team and women’s softball teams. Lori was also an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Arlington Heights Chapter #992 and held many positions within the Chapter including Worthy Matron and Grand Representative of Alberta in Illinois. She was also a member of Karnak Court #17, L.O.S.N.A. Lori worked as a bilingual translator (ASL) in the Access and Disability Department at the local community college. She will be remembered by anybody that knew her for her wonderful smile, contagious laugh and willingness to assist anyone, be it with a task, an ear to listen and especially anyone offering dark chocolate. Lori enjoyed any time she could spend with her grandchildren. She was also an avid hockey fan, with the Blackhawks being her favorite. A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 1-4 PM at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights. In consideration of the safety of our guests and associates, Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home will adhere to the current gathering restrictions in the state of Illinois, which allow 50 or fewer guests at services. Proper social distancing must be practiced and all guests will be required to wear face masks at all times. Thank you for your cooperation. Interment will be private.
