Harold J. Burns, 84, of Arlington Heights was born December 14, 1931 in Chicago to Harold and Veronica (nee Curran) Burns and passed away on December 12, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Janice M. (nee Drum); loving father of Stephen (Lori) Burns, Sheila (Kevin) Reilly, Dennis Burns and Maureen (Robert) Karsten; cherished grandfather of Sydney, Lauren, Bridget and Gillian; fond brother of Robert Burns OP, late Nancy (Kevin) Costello and Richard (Carol) Burns; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 17, 2016 from 9 AM until prayers at 10:30am at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights, IL proceeding to Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 440 South Mitchell Street, Arlington Heights for a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL. Contributions to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s research appreciated.
