Elizabeth Huebner

Elizabeth Huebner,age 87, a resident of Arlington Heights foralmost fifty years, passed away surroundedby family on Monday, May 23, 2016,following a brief illness. She was born onJanuary 2, 1929 to Carl and Elizabeth Plath inDes Plaines, Illinois. Having survived theGreat Depression, World War II and the loss ofboth her parents as a small child, Betty liveda full life, raised two professional children,and spent more than a quarter centuryworking for her beloved Daily Herald, beforeretiring in 2005.She was preceded in death by her parents,her husband, William Huebner, and herbrothers, Carl and Willard Plath.She is survived by her daughter, RobinHuebner, and her grandson, Edward, and byher son, Terry Huebner (Noelle Weber), andher grandchildren Michael, Ben, andGretchen, as well as two sisters. We arecomforted by the fact that her suffering wasshort and grateful for the many good timesand the long life she generously shared withus all.A brief visitation will be held on Friday, May27 at 11:30 a.m. followed by a memorialservice at 12:45 p.m. at Glueckert FuneralHome, Ltd., 1520 N.
