Carol Lee Thurston, age 73, of Hoffman Estates was born November 2, 1948 and passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022. She is survived by her children Kevin (Anneliese) Thurston and Brian Thurston as well as her grandchildren Ryder and Wyatt Thurston.
She was a dedicated mother and best friend to Kevin and Brian. Especially memorable to her children was how she always made the holidays a grand and memorable occasion as she spent an entire day preparing the holiday meal and making it very special for her family. She adored animals and loved being out in nature. Her children have very fond memories of various camping trips and nature outings.
Carol was a dental hygienist and was very active in her academic field while in college. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be Monday, April 18, 2022 from 10:30 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:30 PM at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie.
