Barbara Rogers

Barbara Rogers, 68, of Arlington Heights, IL passed away on July 21, 2022, after a long battle with polycystic kidney disease.

At Barb's request, no services will be held, and her ashes to be scattered at St. Joseph's cemetery in Richmond, IL at a later date.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Betty and George, her brothers Ricky and Tom, and her beloved sister, Linda (Clark) Chiddister.

She is survived by her brothers Mark (Holly) and Denny (Lauren) Rogers, nephews; Scott (Georgine), Derek (Melanie), Dustin (Katey), Brandon (Tracey), and Matt (Jen) and nieces Becky (Jordan) and Marcy (Pete). She was very fond of her grand-nieces and nephews, Olivia, Aria, Dani, Dylan, Ayden, Charlie, and Ben.

Barb worked in housekeeping at Northwest Community Hospital for over 25 years. Barb was always very proud of the job she did making sure that patients’ rooms were well kept, and she often sang aloud while she was on duty, and noted how it made patients happy. She met many very wonderful Nurses, Doctors, Associates, and Volunteers who bestowed her with kindness in the years during and after her tenure there.

After retiring from the hospital in 2017 at the age of 63, Barb spent the next 5 years rooting on her beloved Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks from the comfort of her condominium where she had made some very wonderful friends.

A very special thank you to Dr. Manish Tanna, the caregivers of Journeycare and For Papa's Sake, and Karen and Grace, for supporting Barb in the years she battled her disease and the days during her transition.
