Annette was born in Chicago on August 8, 1934, to parents Michael and Anne (nee Lavelle) Murphy. She married Walter Frank in 1958 and together the couple had five children. She was a loving mother, grandma, and great-grandma, who will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Annette is survived by her children, Corinne (Brian) King, Michelle (Dale) Owens, Maureen (Lloyd) Briggs, Brian Frank, and Andrea (Rob) Cacini, her grandchildren, Chase (Sarah) King, Eric Borders, Ryan (Cheyenne) Borders, Tera Briggs, Brandi Briggs, Zach Cacini, Anna Cacini, Cole Cacini, and Jackson Cacini, her great-grandchildren, Cooper King, Palmer King, Collins King, and Rafe Borders, her siblings, Eileen Johnson and John Murphy, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter Frank.
Annette was a proud graduate of Good Counsel High School. Her career as a Legal Secretary for Montgomery Ward and later as a Secretary for the School of Religion at St. James Catholic Church showcased her dedication, warmth, and work ethic.
Outside of her professional life, Annette was an avid flower gardener, finding peace and joy in tending to her gardens. She was known for her incredible skill in making the world’s best Irish soda bread, a recipe that has passed down and around.. and always enjoyed by friends and family alike.
Visitation is Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Glueckert Funeral Home. 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights.
Mass is Monday, November 11, 2024, at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 820 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights.
Burial to follow mass at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
